Overview


We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and project budgets for commercial and residential projects by analyzing plans and specifications, materials, labor, and other project requirements. This role works closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop competitive and profitable proposals. The Estimator identifies cost-saving opportunities, and ensures all estimates align with company standards and objectives.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Utilize extensive knowledge and experience to prepare estimates in Xactimate.
  • Demonstrate proficient with source removal, decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents, and deodorization techniques. 
  • Must be capable of estimating fixed bid projects as well as, time and material projects.
  • Uphold project management standards for projects exceeding $1M.
  • Maintain and review accurate field documentation, photo logs, graphs, and sketches for various projects.
  • Must be proactive conveying information to clients and other team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in the restoration industry.
    • 2+ years of experience in water damage restoration.
    • 3 years of experience utilizing Xactimate software.
  • Skills
    • Strong skills in restoration estimating.
    • Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
    • Effective communication skills to support collaboration with project teams.
    • High attention to detail and analytical thinking skills. 
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
