Job Summary:

• The Program Project Specialist II position will provide administrative support to the Director of Special Projects and the Assistive Technology and Secondary Transition teams through a variety of tasks.
• Occasional in-state and rare out-of-state travel is required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, modify, and/or implement program projects
• Develop effective monitoring and evaluation procedures for new and ongoing programs to ensure program conformance and integrity
• Gather and analyze program data to report on project progress, feasibility, and goals
• Consult with appropriate personnel regarding program goals, objectives, accountability, and delivery of services
• Projects to include state-required general supervision efforts, professional development, conference planning/coordination, event management, grants, communities of practice, and training initiatives
• Preparation of notices, guidance, memos, operating procedures, plans, reports and manuals
• Assist in the preparation of responses, proposals, reports, grant applications, and technical assistance documents
• Format materials for accessibility
• Update, modify, and create materials for public use on the Internet
• Maintenance of ADE/ESS webpages
• Coordinate services for meetings, professional development events, and technical assistance visits with and among state agencies, unit staff, and local school district programs
• Provide assistance and travel arrangements, process procurement requisitions for services, invoices, supplies, and materials, and assist with monitoring of budget processes
• Provide information, general direction, technical guidance and administrative assistance via e-mail, phone calls, letters and representation at meetings for the Unit, with state agencies, community organizations and the general public
• Coordinates collaborations and builds relationships with varying stakeholders

• Experience or background in Special Education
• Technical skills to manage multiple platforms and website development
