ERP Programmer Analyst

Kenyon College is seeking applications for an ERP Programmer Analyst  in the Information Technology (IT) department. This is a full time position eligible for benefits, limited to a term of five years (August 2025 through June 2030).

The ERP Programmer Analyst reports to the Director for Institutional Data Systems and primarily supports the college’s enterprise data system, Ellucian Banner, and its data integrations.  The ERP Programmer Analyst will interact regularly with other departments to support the mission of the College, collaborating extensively with other members of the IT team. 

The major functional areas for the ERP Programmer Analyst includes database and server management, integration and analysis. The ERP Programmer Analyst supports the ERP system used for Finance, Human Resources, and Academics. The ERP Programmer Analyst also creates and maintains custom system integrations that connect and synchronize data between the enterprise software system and performs the detailed analysis needed to implement these integrations effectively across a combination of campus and cloud infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements: 

We value both education and experience. A successful candidate should be comfortable with technology, be curious, and love to learn. These are the minimum requirements for a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

These are the preferred qualifications for a successful candidate:

• Three (3) years of professional experience with management, operation, and support of computing systems, preferably within a higher education environment.
• Experience with Higher Education ERP Systems, specifically Ellucian Banner: Student, Finance and Human Resource (HR) modules.
• Knowledge of or experience with common programming languages and ability to utilize APIs.
• Knowledge of database and application upgrades and testing.
• Knowledge of SQL programming - design, coding and testing.
• Knowledge of scripting languages - Python, PowerShell, Perl, etc.
• Knowledge of Oracle DBMS and Microsoft SQL Server DBMS database administration.
• Knowledge of Windows server and Linux server operating systems .
• Experience with authentication and authorization.
