Position Summary:
Sands Capital is looking for a Research Analyst that has strong domain expertise with experience working across the Consumer, Industrial, and Technology sectors to join us as a member of our Investment Team. The Research Analyst will act as a thought leader for fundamental growth investments in developed markets, with a primary focus on the U.S.
In coordination with Sands Capital’s strategies, Research Analysts identify and recommend businesses that meet Sands Capital’s six investment criteria. Research Analysts typically have 7+ years of investment experience, deep domain expertise, a strong investing track record, and highly effective communication skills.
Work Expectations:
This role is expected to work from our Arlington, Virginia office (HQ) on a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week in-office (specifically, Tuesdays and Wednesdays) or as directed by your manager, depending on the role and team needs. Please know that the hybrid schedule is subject to change, as directed by our Executive Management Team, at any time.
Position Responsibilities:
- Value-added investment recommendations: Analysts leverage their deep-domain expertise to develop key insights that lead to long-term investment recommendations.
- Collaboration: We believe that investing is a team sport and that the best decisions are made in small, high-trust and context teams. Research Analysts must be able to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.
- Effective communication (both verbal and written): Research Analysts must be able to confidently articulate and share their key insights for them to translate into value-added portfolio actions. They also must be able to effectively represent Sands Capital with clients and prospects.
- Other position responsibilities, as needed; and

Position Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university;
- CFA preferred, but not required;
- ~7+ years of industry experience, preferably on the buy-side;
- A passion for growth investing;
- Outstanding analytical and strategic aptitude; highly motivated with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude;
- Strong work ethic, diligence, and an ability to execute at a high level without direct supervision; and
- Open and receptive; having a growth mindset.
