Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator who is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and assisting in the overall workflow of operations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate and control machinery and equipment, in a safe and efficient manner
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
- Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques to minimize damage and loss
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents that occur during operations
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure the timely completion of projects
- Assist in training new operators and team members on equipment operation and safety practices
- Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking
- Basic setting up of equipment for new production jobs
- Materials management – request materials required to maintain productivity
Your Shift:
- 2nd Shift; Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm
You Must Have:
- Ability to delegate tasks and provide clear direction to co-workers
- Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors
- Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Has good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
- Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
- Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
- Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks assigned
- A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Requirements within this position:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
- Constantly operators machinery and handles products including print materials
- Frequently required to move inside the facility
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry)
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.00 – 21.00.
