Position Summary

Our Midwest healthcare client is seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Principal Trainer to support a large-scale Epic training and deployment initiative. This engagement begins in July 2026 with remote credentialing, onboarding, curriculum review, and training preparation activities, followed by an intensive 8-week onsite classroom training period from late August through October .

The Epic Ambulatory Principal Trainer serves as the primary education and training expert for Epic Ambulatory applications, supporting physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, clinical staff, and operational teams across the health system. While some Principal Trainer responsibilities may include curriculum enhancements, training material updates, and tip sheet development, the primary focus of this engagement is delivering high-quality, hands-on end-user training in a classroom environment.

The ideal candidate is a polished, professional instructor with strong presentation and facilitation skills who can effectively engage diverse learner populations while ensuring training readiness and adoption. All candidates must possess expertise across multiple Epic applications and demonstrate experience supporting large-scale Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.

Training Program Development

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance role-based Epic Ambulatory training curricula for providers, clinical staff, and operational end users.
  • Modify existing training materials as needed, including lesson plans, participant guides, tip sheets, quick reference guides, simulations, and instructor resources.
  • Ensure training content reflects current workflows, system enhancements, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with Epic application teams and operational stakeholders to incorporate workflow and system updates into training programs. <
