On our facilities team, your job will be to create the comfortable and safe environment our visitors and staff have come to expect from Cleveland Clinic. As Environmental Services Supervisor I, you will help fulfill this mission by overseeing the technical and administrative functions of our Environmental Services (EVS) Department. Serving as a mentor and knowledge resource, you will implement goals consistent with the enterprise while developing a strong, driven team. Your work is essential to the maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, and all your efforts directly improves our ability to continue providing exceptional care.
A caregiver in this position works evenings from 1:00PM - 9:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Supervise the functions, daily operations and caregivers in the Environmental Services department.
- Provide effective utilization of personnel, policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
- Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality cleaning and maintenance is being performed.
- Maintain staffing levels and approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
- Ensure cross coverage.
- Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
- Improve procedures and processes.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma/GED and one year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager of Supervisor OR Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment\
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
- Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
- Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
