Role Highlights:

• Spearhead initiatives to uphold and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring adherence to our robust Health and Safety Programs.
• Engage in the development and refinement of safety policies and programs (including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, Emergency Response, and Fall Protection), aiming to mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate across departments and with external partners to foster a culture of safety and sustainability, while also handling incident investigations and safety audits to continuously improve our practices.
• Take the lead in organizing comprehensive training sessions for employees, covering orientation, safety protocols, and environmental responsibilities, thereby fostering an informed and vigilant workforce.

Requirements

What We Look For:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health/Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting, with a preference for those familiar with the metals industry.
• An analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a profound understanding of the broader implications of workplace health and safety.
• Flexibility in schedule, including the availability for travel to other facilities, and adaptability to work weekends or shifted hours if necessary.
• Exceptional organizational and communication prowess, alongside advanced technical skills and a proactive approach to safety management.
