Operating a machine that produces top-notch products for ¼ of the world’s population is a hard job, but it’s worth it when you’re recognized often by your manager, supported by your team, and see the products you produce being used by your own family at the end of the day.
In this role, you will be running technologically advanced, high-speed manufacturing equipment and collaborating with new or junior team members to do their best work safely. This role is part of Kimberly-Clark’s substantial investment in creating new jobs and expanding its capabilities to produce premium Kleenex® products that are essential to millions of lives around the world, right here in Owensboro, KY.
The role of our Production Technician includes the following:
- Safety is our first priority. We require all Partners to work in a safe manner to consistently identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions. At times, this will include operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes
- Utilize problem solving and decision-making skills to establish proficiency in operating and making machine adjustments which are required to achieve and control high quality material standards.
- Actively participant in a self-directed work team system which includes at times providing meaningful feedback to build participation and engagement with team members
- The ability to document, account for and complete daily performance metrics in both verbal and written formats.
- Fundamental Mechanical aptitude required to identify machine faults and variations in runtime stability.
- Ensures that quality tests are done correctly and in a timely manner, and documents are maintained as required.

In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
- 1+ years of continuous work experience.
- Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
- Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.
- Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
- Ability to work in a Team Based High Performance Work System
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Motivated self-starter
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Basic mechanical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates with a one or more years of experience in a manufacturing; ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience
- Post secondary education/training (degrees, technical, military)
- Mechanical skills; troubleshooting, disassemb
