CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. CPH has an opening in its Linthicum Heights, Maryland office for the following position: Entry-Level Civil Project Engineer - E.I.   Hiring Bonus of $1,500 for selected candidate!

Duties Include

• Working under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents.
• Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
• Periodic travel to perform site investigations, and construction observation. 
• Preparation of specifications, shop drawing review, field observations, preparation of inspection reports and other construction administration tasks. 
• Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
• Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
• Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.
• Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control.
•  Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Management of clients and national account programs.

Requirements

• Ideal candidate will have a B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental engineering from an ABET accredited university. Incoming graduates are encouraged to apply. 
• CAD experience is desirable.
• E.I Certificate required within 1 year of employment. 
• Willing to work as a team and have strong organization and communication skills.
• Will require travel to assist with site investigation, construction observation and project transmittals.
• Maryland utility design experience a plus.
• Virginia and/or Washington D.C. design experience a plus.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
