The scope of this requirement is to provide full Drupal websites application operations and maintenance (O&M) and security patching. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) OCIO/Departmental Administration Technology Center (DAITO) manages the hosting of numerous USDA websites including but not limited to USDA.Gov, various Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) websites on the Enterprise Web Application Platform and Services (eWAPS). USDA OCIO/DAITO has a requirement to offer website hosting on a shared Enterprise solution to consolidate and enhance existing and new USDA websites to support current and future needs while reducing costs. To meet these goals, the OCIO/DAITO has identified Drupal, the open-source web content management system, as the new standard web development platform for USDA.GOV public websites and technology for this robust eWAPS system, while still supporting Drupal websites. The Drupal open-source Content Management System (CMS) offers a dynamic solution for a user-centered experience that can utilize multimedia efforts already completed by OCIO/DAITO. The primary goal is to develop and deliver O&M/Development services and security patching on a regular basis as stated in this agreement on selected websites in this environment. Position Description RIVA Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Support Desk Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, managing, and maintaining containerization models and orchestration for our customer environments. This position will focus on leading support desk efforts as part of operational activities. This is the main vehicle for development teams to submit troubleshooting or production deployment tickets to the enterprise platform team and deliver exceptional IT services. - Prime role will be engineer on support desk monitoring eWAPS customer submitted tickets via CMS and the resolution of requests based on eWAPS support desk model tier matrix.
- Respond to Support Requests from Customers.
- Perform necessary actions for Production Deployments.
- Create custom Docker images instances to meet client configuration needs.
- Support and facilitate Pipeline integrations with the platform.
- Stand up new applications as needed.
- Investigate and respond to critical incidents on the platform during business hours system improvement efforts.
- Manage, and maintain containerized Kubernetes systems, ensuring the health and availability of services within the organization.
- Manage and interact with BitBucket/code repo pipelines to automate and streamline our operations and processes, leading the efforts to promote CI/CD.
- Employ inspections of code to ensure quality, maintaining coding standards and practices while performing regular code reviews. (Code reviews for Dockerfiles, Automations scripts, etc.)
- Assist with ongoing Assessment and Authorization activities in accordance with Federal FISMA requirements (NIST publication), including documentation updates and risk management activities (Plans of Actions & Milestones - POA&Ms)
- Assist with implementation of new and/or maintain existing government-required security policies and requirements for all systems.
- Assist with the annual security assessment (A&A) of eWAPS.
- Utilize Status Cake/Data Dog to monitor system health and availability, swiftly identifying and addressing system issues before they impact services.
- Employ Splunk to manage logs and perform real-time analysis, ensuring system performance and aiding in troubleshooting and system improvement efforts.
- Minimum Education: BS/BA degree and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
- MA/MS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience OR
- 4+ years of relevant experience without a degree
- Must be US Citizen
- Experience with backend Drupal 8, 9, and/or 10 websites, including custom themes, custom modules, and core patching.
