This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries: Mission Technologies Division is actively searching for a Highly skilled enterprise architect to support the ongoing mission of AFRL/IZX division. The Enterprise Architect (EA) plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business information. This person aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.

The primary focus is the mission/business motivations, mission/business operations and mission/business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these aspects of the enterprise together. The EA works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques. The EA reports to the IZX Division Chief and Deputy Director and does require an on-site presence at WPAFB.

 

Level 3 salary range : 98,280-182,520

Level 4 salary range : 116,771-216,861

 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Architecture Development: Design, document, and maintain architecture roadmaps, models, and representations that align with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Cataloging and Documentation: Ensure comprehensive cataloging and documentation of architecture initiatives, capabilities, workflows, and standard components to support business and technology operations.
  • Compliance and Governance: Coordinate and enforce adherence to architectural standards, policies, and guidelines across the organization to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop architectural solutions that drive organizational efficiency and innovation.
  • Communication and Training: Communicate architectural strategies, initiatives, and frameworks effectively to key stakeholders and provide training or guidance as necessary.
  • Framework Maintenance: Continuously maintain and refine architecture models, frameworks, and representations to adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information ab
