Description
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Enrollment Specialist to join our team in Bismarck, ND. This full-time, in-person position plays a crucial role in guiding patients through the insurance enrollment process, including assistance with Medicaid and Voucher applications. The Enrollment Specialist ensures accurate communication with patients and insurance providers while supporting the organization’s revenue cycle functions.
Schedule: This position follows a 40-hour workweek, with shifts of eight hours per day between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Candidates must have the ability to commute to our Bismarck location daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with insurance enrollments and applications for Medicaid and Voucher programs.
- Communicate with state agencies regarding patient insurance applications.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and explain coverage details.
- Address patient inquiries regarding billing, treatment costs, and insurance benefits.
- Assist with patient registration for walk-in clinics.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal confidentiality guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with internal staff and insurance companies to ensure smooth enrollment processes.
- Cross-train within other revenue cycle department positions as needed

Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- One or more years of job longevity in prior positions.
Experience (Preferred):
- Two years of experience in the health services or mental health field, or equivalent years of related schooling.
- Two years of customer service experience.
- One year of experience in an office setting.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
