WHY WE’RE HERE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Technician/Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of electronic circuit card assemblies, including both surface mount and through-hole technologies. This role involves circuit card level building, troubleshooting, assembly, and rework, as well as system-level tasks. The technician will also be responsible for the construction and testing of wiring harnesses and mechanical assembly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Perform circuit card assembly and rework, including soldering of components as small as 0201 size.
  • Adhere to and apply NASA, IPC, or similar workmanship standards to PCBA rework and assembly tasks
  • Conduct system-level build, troubleshooting, assembly, and rework using established procedures.
  • Create and test wiring harnesses, ensuring proper pinout, continuity, and hi-potential testing.
  • Demonstrate mechanical assembly skills, including torquing fasteners and applying staking and adhesives as required.
  • Read and interpret schematics, PCB fabrication, and assembly drawings to ensure accurate construction and verification of electronic systems.
  • Maintain a detail-oriented approach to building, striving for the highest quality in all products.
  • Utilize Quality Management Systems to log unit non-conformities and dispositions.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on work instructions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support diagnostic and validation tests on electronic components and systems as needed.
  • Assemble and manufacture electrical harnesses for product builds or testing.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation for work instructions and manufacturing procedures.

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in electronic circuit card assembly and rework.
  • IPC certification or equivalent experience with workmanship standards.
  • Familiarity with both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-hole technology.
  • Proficiency in wiring harness construction and testing.
  • Strong mechanical assembly skills and knowledge of various assembly techniques.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and experience with non-conformity reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide feedback on work instructions.
  • Capable of supporting a variety of diagnostic and validation tests.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical training and experience. 
US Salary Range$132,000$198,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
