We are a team of physicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers and White House advisors, backed by leading technology and healthcare investors working to re-imagine and re-build OUD treatment in America.</div></div><h1>About the Role</h1> <p>As an <strong>Engineering Manager I</strong> at Ophelia, you’ll play a key role in developing innovative, compliant solutions to support our mission of treating opioid use disorder through telehealth. You'll be a hands-on technical leader and manage a team of 2-5 full-stack software engineers who build and maintain our core web applications written in Typescript, React, and Firebase on GCP. The estimated split between hands-on code and leadership responsibilities is 50-70% hands-on to 50-30% leadership. You’ll ensure that your team maintains the highest quality standards across all projects, improve code architecture, and foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your work will have a direct impact on patients, clinicians, and our ability to scale.</p> <p>In this role, you’ll mentor and develop the engineers on your team, promote a culture of innovation and excellence, and be a tech lead who works side-by-side with them through the full product cycle—from inception to results—writing production features independently and taking responsibility for your team’s work quality and delivery goals. You’ll collaborate closely with your Product and Design counterparts, as well as various cross-functional teams, including clinicians and non-technical stakeholders, to ensure our products meet the needs of both users and the business.
