The Opportunity:
This position is for an engineering manager that will manage a team of telecommunications/VOIP engineers that provide support for a Voice over IP (VOIP) modernization effort. You will provide expert telephony expertise with upgrading and replacing VOIP based telecommunication systems. You will lead a team of engineers in the design, integration, and implementation of a VOIP solution at multiple locations. You will lead the integration of network solutions to include switches, routers, and voice gateways and supervise the work of telecommunications/VOIP engineers, network security engineers, and various other groups within the program. This position will involve travel to remote CONUS sites to work on system upgrades and implementations. Must be able to keep up with fast-paced fielding schedule and have an active secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned
- Experience managing teams across multiple geo-graphical
- Gather system requirements and establish path forward for multi-vendor integration
- Analyze vendor offerings and proposals for technical accuracy and requirements compliance
- Verify and implement virtualization infrastructure designs
- Design VM layouts and distribution for resiliency and survivability, network QOS and dial plans
- Create and maintain detailed diagrams and technical documentation of enterprise voice networks, including as-is and as-built
- Develop system acceptance and test plans
- Ensure vendor quotes and design perform as per customer
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, MPLS and general network theory
- Apply expert knowledge of UC, CC and WAN/LAN technologies to design solutions to meet customer requirements
- Provide timely and accurate status updates to customer contacts

Required Skills:
- BA/BS and at least 10 years of related voice and network engineering experience. Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
- PSTN circuits (PRI, T1, SIP, analog, FXO, FXS)
- Network Routing
- Network Switching
- Voice gateways and protocols
- H.323/SIP/MGCP/SCCP
- Active Secret clearance (required), Interim is acceptable
- Microsoft Suite of Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Desired Skills:
- SIP/AS-SIP experience
- Ribbon AS, SBC, RAMP, PSX, Analytics (preferred)
- Cisco CUCM (plus)
- Juniper
- Avaya CM (plus)
- DAE Subsystems (ACD, ADAS, TMS, VM) (plus)
- VMWare 6.x and above (preferred)
- RedHat Linux (preferred)
- Windows Server administration experience (plus)
- Network troubleshooting skills
Certifications:
- Must be DOD 8570-compliant
