POSITION SUMMARY: To supervise shifts of maintenance/ engineering operations which includes scheduling employees, assigning daily work and projects, training and coaching employees. Inspecting work for quality and productivity, initiating corrective disciplinary as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Perform repairs and maintenance for assigned area such as the interior/exterior of buildings, hotel suites, laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), ventilation and water treatment systems and swimming pool.
- Lead the daily maintenance operations across all hotel/resort systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems in guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to respond quickly to guest requests and ensure a high standard of service.
- Supervise and support maintenance team members; provide training, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, local building codes, and hospitality industry standards.
- Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and inventory of supplies and tools.
- Partner with outside vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or larger projects.
- Participate in emergency response and on-call rotation for urgent maintenance issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they impact guest experience.
- Carry out regular maintenance to guest rooms and record action taken.
- Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to manager.
- Respond in a prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicate daily with Reception and Housekeeping, to obtain rooms availability, to minimize any guest inconvenience and maximize productivity.

- Experience in a similar position in a hotel, resort and/or commercial/residential building.
