Engineering Manager

Wren are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm
Starting Salary - £54,000 plus £1,500 quarterly bonus
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop the engineering and maintenance team.
* Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
* Minimise downtime by working closely with production and operational teams.
* Manage engineering projects, repairs, shutdowns, and site improvements.
* Control departmental budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across plant, equipment, and facilities.
About You
* Proven Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager experience within manufacturing.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated systems.
* Knowledge of PPM scheduling and maintenance planning.
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
* HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office.
