Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an Engineering Intern to contribute to our Engineering team this summer in Jackson, TN.  The Engineering Intern will partner with Manufacturing, Distribution, Logistics, and Information Technology teams to deliver breakthrough solutions for the enterprise.  The intern will support operations through the design, development, testing, and evaluation of integrated systems for managing product distribution systems & print-on-demand processes.

*Internship would be around May - August (flexible). Also, flexible around school schedule*

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Student working towards a degree an engineering, engineering technology, or industrial technology program

Preferred Skills:

  • AutoCAD/2D drafting experience a plus
  • 3D modelling experience a plus (i.e. SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, etc)
  • 3D printing experience a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead 3D printing (additive manufacturing) related projects to improve manufacturing and distribution processes
  • Support Engineers on various supply chain projects—uses technical skillset to conduct analyses of processes.  Communicate study results and makes recommendations to management. 
  • Perform development, fabrication, and deployment of prototype systems (including development of industrial robotics, end of arm tooling, programming routines, etc)
  • Utilize and maintain prototyping shop space to develop new systems to drive improved manufacturing and distribution center performance.
