Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world's most advanced commercial and military turbine engines, is seeking a talented individual to join our organization in our Engineering Development Program. This position is within Pratt & Whitney’s  Assembly Equipment Engineering team.

Candidates hired will begin their first 2.5 years at Pratt & Whitney as part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP). This program consists of three rotations that are 12 months - 9 months - 9 months in duration and typically occur in three distinct disciplines within the hiring department. The intent of our EDP is to offer breadth & depth in various technical experiences through challenging positions available in our organizations. This program will help expand your professional and technical competencies that will serve as the foundation for exceptional contributions that you will make at Pratt & Whitney. 

What You Will Do

In the first rotation:

Produce technically sound computer aided design models and drawings for equipment used in the assembly, disassembly, and inspection of Pratt & Whitney engine products.
Utilize standardized procedures and CORE tools to continuously improve the assembly equipment design process.
Provide support for development engine assembly process changes.
Provide support for new and revised equipment initial try-outs.
Provide support for physical equipment alterations and manufacture through interfacing with machinists.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Requires a Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Experience with a FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with application of mechanical statics, strength of materials, and machine design theories.
  • Experience with ANSYS Workbench or equivalent software.
  • Working knowledge of NX or equivalent modeling software.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
