In this role you will:
Build and Automate: Design, develop, and maintain automation systems and backend services that enhance productivity and reliability. Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to high-quality solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
Develop Custom Applications: Build lightweight, purpose-built web applications that solve domain-specific challenges across Magnite’s ecosystem — helping teams work smarter and faster through tailored internal tools.
Leverage AI Pragmatically: Use AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor and Model Context Protocols) to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation — applying these tools thoughtfully to improve delivery speed and consistency.
Streamline Cross-Functional Workflows: Analyze how different teams — engineering, operations, sales, and others — work within Magnite’s products and systems. Identify opportunities to automate or optimize manual processes, then implement reliable, scalable solutions to improve efficiency.
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineers, product managers, and operations teams to deeply understand Magnite’s products, user interactions, and the workflows that drive them — ensuring automation aligns with real-world needs.
Learn and Grow: Gain exposure to distributed systems, modern development environments, and automation frameworks while developing strong problem-solving and engineering fundamentals.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, share insights, and proactively suggest enhancements to our tools, infrastructure, and processes.
We’re looking for someone with:
Experience in AI Agentic Workflows: Deep understanding of context window management, dynamic skill sets, and orchestration patterns for coordinating multiple specialized AI agents.
0–2 years of professional or internship experience in software development.
A desire to learn about all facets to Magnite’s business to better understand problems that can be solved for team members of the entire org. through modern tech
A degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and programming fundamentals.
Experience or interest in one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
Curiosity about LLMs and applied AI — prompt design, APIs, or workflow automation.
Exposure to development environments like Cursor or IDEs that integrate AI tools.
A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
A proactive, growth-oriented attitude — you’re excited to learn from feedback and build new skills every week.
