New Site Development Department
The New Site Development team drives the technology, innovation and new development of data center infrastructure across Vantage’s companywide portfolio. The department evaluates new sites, drives cost and scheduling in line with corporate goals and serves as subject matter experts across the entire project lifecycle from concept through commissioning. The team collaborates with Sales, Operations and management along the way. New Site Dev also works hand in hand with the Construction team to come up with a vertically integrated design and ensures new and existing standards and designs are executed effectively. One thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our technical staff are given the responsibility and authority to directly drive tangible results. Our team can align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. Position Overview

The Energy Project Manager will be responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, and execution of energy solutions for Vantage Data Centers. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in energy management, infrastructure, and project execution. The successful candidate will ensure that energy projects align with Vantage’s customer commitments and sustainability goals, delivering them on time, within scope, and within budget.
Essential Job Functions
Identify Energy Solutions:
Research and identify innovative energy solutions that align with Vantage Data Centers’ customer commitments, schedules, and sustainability objectives.
Stay updated on the latest energy technologies, trends, and market developments to recommend appropriate energy strategies.
Evaluate Projects:
Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for potential energy projects.
Assess energy markets, energy rates, and infrastructure critical to power delivery, ensuring alignment with Vantage’s business goals.
Provide technical analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and oversee energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, construction, operations, and development, to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Act as the primary point of contact for energy-related projects, facilitating communication and collaboration across all relevant parties.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with utilities, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
Regulatory Engagement:
Support strategy development and execution of regulatory engagements with utilities, regulators, and related stakeholders important to data center infrastructure delivery, cost management, and sustainability goals.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Additional Duties:
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy project management, preferably in the data center or utility sector.
