Responsibilities

Inspects, disinfects, manually cleans and performs high-level disinfection (HLD) on endoscopes and probes.  Post processing performs drying, labeling and hanging of scopes.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Receives contaminated scopes used in endoscopic procedures. Decontaminates using methods such as pre-cleaning, manual washing and automated endoscopy re-processors.

Maintains endoscopes, probes and accessories in working order.

Following HLD, dries and hangs scopes per policy and IFUs.

Completes all endoscope reprocessing logs.

Ensures proper maintenance and minor repair of scopes and other equipment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

High school diploma or equivalent.

 

PREFERRED

One (1) year of experience in endoscopy reprocessing.

Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).

Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

0800-1700
