Your role at Sephora:
As an Employee Relations Partner, you will support the ER capability for Sephora’s Field Support Center and act as a neutral intermediary between employees and leaders. Reporting to an Employee Relations Manager, you will work with people leaders and cross-functional business partners in the area of escalated employee performance management, involuntary terminations, employee engagement, employee concerns, mediated conversations, listening sessions, and climate surveys. You will be responsible for capturing metrics and data points in order to provide people updates to business leaders as well as providing recommendations on areas of opportunity. You will have the flexibility to think creatively and out of the box on process efficiencies and strategic initiatives involving our people.
- Conduct and lead escalated investigations with guidance from an ER Manager by gathering and analyzing facts, apply past practice to reach resolution, while also applying Sephora’s policies and practices.
- Work closely with an ER Manager to manage and resolve possible conflicts related to employment practices at Sephora.
- Develop and maintain close partnership with HRBPs to drive forward business strategy and objectives.
- Assist in managing escalated employee performance concerns and misconduct; including warnings, Performance Improvement Plans and terminations.
- Oversee and manage involuntary separations; including Position Eliminations and Reductions in Force.
- Enhance overall store culture and drive proactive employee relations and engagement. Including in-person store visits, climate surveys, listening sessions. (10-15% travel requirement)
- Assist in creating insights from data to inform and shape ER process, program improvements, and share findings with key partners to develop and deliver a plan which links to HR strategy.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, in collaboration with ER Manager, Sr. Director Employee Relations/Employee Experience, and internal employment counsel.

We’re excited about you if you have:
- 6+ progressive HR/ER experience; minimum 2-3 years direct ER experience; prior retail experience a plus.
- JD or legal experience a plus.
- Exemplary issue resolution skills with the ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization; prior experience with executive presence is preferred.
- Working knowledge of employment law (multi-state), compliance, employee relations required.
- Subject matter knowledge of ADA and leave of absence laws required.
- Prior experience with case management systems helpful.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and balancing multiple escalated cases.
- Highly collaborative style and willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams.
- Ability to multi-task and be action oriented; exercise independent judgement and decision-making.
- Ability to effectively work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior labor relations experience a plus.
- Sound judgment and discretion; able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Position is remote with 10-15% travel requirement within assigned region. The ideal candidate will reside in one of the following states: Texas, Georgia or Florida. Relocation assistance will be provided.
