What you'll be doing in the role of Email & Web Designer
Our team is seeking a candidate with a strong graphic/visual design ability to create intuitive emails and graphics and bring them together for an optimal user experience. Our ideal candidate can design and update email templates, break designs into responsive code, and implement them on our email platform and content management systems. Utilizing strong project management skills, this role interfaces with various cross-functional teams to build, manage and execute projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The individual is the point person who creates and implements programs across multiple digital channels in support of the organization’s strategic priorities.
What you will bring to the table
- Design graphics for email, web, and social media.
- Design and code outgoing monthly emails leveraging knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Create and/or update email templates.
- Troubleshoot HTML/CSS emails.
- Prepare and build emails on a weekly basis, while applying email best practices in email development.
- Test email compatibility with all web browsers and devices while ensuring links and images are rendering correctly.
- Provide general support across the Marketing Team, including designing landing pages, graphics, and publishing website content.
- Manage approvals with stakeholders on tight timelines.
- Maintain branding across digital channels.
We already know you will have
- Bachelor’s degree focused on digital media, graphic/web design or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.
- Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems (e.g., Mailchimp, Pardot, WordPress, etc.).
- Prior experience in using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Figma etc.).
- Proven ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Quick learner with ability to take direction, work under pressure and operate as part of a team.
- Experience with responsive design and scaling for multiple screen sizes.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- An extreme attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
- Ability to understand and adhere to brand standards.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Proficient in responsive email design and front-end development.
- Knowledge of email compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with email marketing, A/B testing, and marketing automation technology.
We would love if you also have:
- 5+ years of directly related experience.
- Prior non-profit experience.
- Prior experience using Dreamweaver, but not required.
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Travel requirements required outside of your home office will be less than 5% depending on our business meetings and needs.
