Job description: Eligibility Liaison plays a crucial role in determining the PASSE eligibility of Empower Members. They typically collaborate with state agencies that offer support to families in need. Additionally, the Eligibility Liaison may be responsible for disseminating information about these programs to Members and internal staff, including guidance on application procedures and required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Members are compliant with all eligibility requirements.
- Coordinate eligibility escalations to Optum and DHS
- Serve as point of contact for DHS for renewals.
- Specialized outreach to Members on renewal list
- Serve as point of contact for all Terminated Members
- F2F outreach to complete paperwork
- Build relationships with Government entities (specific contacts)
- Serve as primary Community Partners for Empower to complete renewals on Access Arkansas
- Provide specialized next steps to Member.
- Assist with first time applications for Medicaid.
- Family Members
- Waiver
- Provide Member Education outreach and Scheduled events.
- Provider Education and Outreach
- Distribute and review Medicaid renewal reporting.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma and One (1) year experience in the mental health field.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare, social work, Psychology or social services and other healthcare related field preferred
• Knowledge of Medicaid Eligibility determination
• Familiarity with health insurance terminology, coverage, and benefit structures i.e., IA Assessments, SSI Eligibility determination etc.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications relevant to managed care operations.
License/Certification:
• A valid driver's license and up to date automobile insurance must meet the minimum requirement in your state.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to drive and perform quarterly visits to their members.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• The ability to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds is required.
