Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician -1st Shift (9:00 AM- 5:00 PM)

 Training will be on 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Basic Scope/Purpose: The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician completes all assignments to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with manufacturing equipment and facility. 
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance. 
• Install new and relocate presses and equipment.
• Maintain computer programs for record keeping and audits.
• Work closely with other employees to understand the problems they are having with their assigned equipment.
• Make minor repairs and modifications to the facilities and electrical system.
• Consult with and advise management on major repair and modifications to the facilities electrical system.
• As required provides instruction and training to apprentices and trainees and employees.
• Order supplies as needed.
• Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.  

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences: 

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman papers or 5+ years previous experience
• Must possess strong electrical knowledge of AC and DC currents
• Must have the ability to read wire diagrams
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Should possess good machining skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
• Must have a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Welding experience preferred
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude. 
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude. 
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Visual acuity to read instructions. 
• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions      that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
