Description
Training will be on 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Basic Scope/Purpose: The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician completes all assignments to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with manufacturing equipment and facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance.
- Install new and relocate presses and equipment.
- Maintain computer programs for record keeping and audits.
- Work closely with other employees to understand the problems they are having with their assigned equipment.
- Make minor repairs and modifications to the facilities and electrical system.
- Consult with and advise management on major repair and modifications to the facilities electrical system.
- As required provides instruction and training to apprentices and trainees and employees.
- Order supplies as needed.
- Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman papers or 5+ years previous experience
- Must possess strong electrical knowledge of AC and DC currents
- Must have the ability to read wire diagrams
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Should possess good machining skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
- Must have a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Welding experience preferred
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Visual acuity to read instructions.
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
