Job Description

Dakota County Technical College seeks a temporary part-time/adjunct Electrician (Electrical Construction) Instructor to teach courses in our electrical construction program. ​Instructor is responsible for all activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to, instructional planning, curriculum development, student evaluation and records, student recruitment and retention, student advising and placement, classroom/climate preparation and management, interpersonal relations, promote safety in all aspects of program activities, purchase supplies and equipment, participate in professional development experiences, work as an effective team member of the department, maintenance of professional skills and credentials, and participate on college committees.

  • Mon: 10am - 1pm
  • Tues: 10am - 12pm
  • Wed: 10am - 1pm
  • Thur: 10am - 12pm

Fall Semester Date: August 25, 2025 - December 19, 2025.

Salary Range:

  • If teaching less than 5 credits (Adjunct): Per credit rate of $775 - $1650.

  • If teaching 5 or more credits total (Temporary, PT): $44,144.00 - 96,906.00 Annually (Based upon 1.0 FTE of 32 credits per year. Pay will be prorated, based upon credit load). Salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2024 - 2025 MSCF Contract, and conducted by the Minnesota State System Office.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement

  • Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.

Occupational Experience Requirement

  • Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
