Summary of Job Duties:
Installing and connecting commercial/residential HVAC systems to include fan coils and split systems. Diagnose problems with HVAC systems including air handlers and chillers to make repairs and locate parts as needed. Make simple electrical connections and perform plumbing tasks within HVAC units. This position will also provide recommendations to their direct supervisor for preventative maintenance and improvements in efficiency. The successful applicant must be able to utilize critical thinking skills while performing daily tasks. Applicants will be expected to work overtime when situations require time sensitive repairs or other services. Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must pass a background check, drug screening and have a valid driver’s license. Must have electrical experience and be willing to obtain license for HVAC certification. A journeyman’s electrical license preferred. Must be willing to learn all HVAC systems and how to troubleshoot and make repairs as needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently on a daily basis. Must be able to work with other employees daily to accomplish tasks and meet the goals of the University.
