Electrical QA/QC Inspector

LotusWorks is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Inspector to support large-scale semiconductor construction projects in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet client specifications, industry codes, and quality standards. You will play a key role in field inspections, documentation, and collaboration with construction and commissioning teams to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of electrical installations including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS, grounding systems, and distribution panels.
• Review and verify electrical installations against IFC drawings, specifications, and industry codes (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards).
• Conduct QA/QC walkdowns, punch lists, and prepare turnover documentation packages.
• Witness and document factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) for electrical equipment.
• Ensure subcontractors and craft adhere to QA/QC procedures and client requirements.
• Track and resolve non-conformance reports (NCRs) and work with field teams to correct deficiencies.
• Support commissioning and energization readiness by validating pre-functional checklists and test records.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs, redlines, and documentation in project management systems (e.g., Procore, BIM360, or CxAlloy).
• Collaborate with construction managers, commissioning engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Promote safety in all field activities, supporting site-specific LOTO procedures and OSHA requirements.

Skills Required:

• Minimum 5+ years of QA/QC inspection experience in large-scale industrial or semiconductor construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, etc.).
• Proficiency in reviewing electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with electrical testing procedures and use of testing equipment (megger, multimeter, continuity testers, etc.).
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills with strong attention to detail. 

 

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
