Electrical Purchasing Manager

Job Type Full-time Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have electrical journeyman field experience, proficient at interpreting electrical drawings and anticipate the needs of wholesale purchasing for commercial electrical materials and supplies. The Electrical Purchasing Manager will work closely with our project management and field technician teams to ensure materials and supplies are purchased in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for electrical materials and supplies
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to negotiate contracts and pricing
• Manage the procurement process from purchase order to delivery
• Work closely with project managers and field technicians to ensure that all electrical materials and supplies meet production requirements  
• Monitor warehouse inventory levels and ensure that all standard electrical material and supplies are in stock
• Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers, suppliers, and vendors
• Maintain current industry knowledge and trends about electrical materials, supplies and CalOSHA requirements 
• Manage electrical warehouse inventory and personnel 
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience purchasing electrical materials and supplies 
• Knowledge of commercial electrical equipment, supplies and material 
• Previous management experience within the field or office environments
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office and purchasing software
• Electrical field experience is desired but not required 
• Experience reading/interpreting electrical drawings is a plus

Salary Description $75 to $90K per year
