The Role

An established multi-disciplinary engineering business is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking technical ownership but is also looking to develop towards Project Management. You'll lead the delivery of electrical control and automation systems while developing your commercial, planning and stakeholder management experience.

The business delivers a variety of electrical engineering, control systems, automation and instrumentation projects for industrial and commercial customers, offering plenty of technical variety.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
Take ownership of the delivery and commissioning of electrical control and automation systems.
Produce electrical/control system drawings and technical documentation.
Fault-find, diagnose and repair existing machine control systems.
Provide technical support to engineers and site teams.
Support the planning, organisation and delivery of engineering projects.
Complete RAMS, risk assessments, pre-start checks and associated safety documentation.
Ensure projects and site activities comply with relevant health & safety legislation.
Carry out electrical isolations where required.
Maintain accurate internal engineering and compliance documentation.

About You

Essential:

5+ years' experience within electrical engineering, manufacturing, controls or a related environment.
Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification.
Experience with control systems, automation and instrumentation.
Strong electrical fault-finding and machine control system experience.
Experience organising and delivering engineering projects.
Good understanding of health & safety, RAMS and risk assessments.
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
Keen to develop further within industrial electrical engineering, automation and project delivery.Desirable:

Control panel design and/or modification experience.
Electrical CAD experience.
Experience designing electrical control systems.
