Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Electrical Maintenance Technicians for projects located in and around Latta, SC.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $29.50-32.50/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Maintenance Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

 

Job Scope:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plastics processing equipment (blenders, extruders, draw stands, winders, conveyors, chillers, towers, and support equipment).

  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC control circuits, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, lubrication systems, welding, and plumbing.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

  • Work with electrical distribution and machine controls (24–480V AC/DC).

  • Diagnose and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), robotics, and automated conveyor systems.

  • Support plant and facility maintenance needs to ensure production and delivery commitments are met.

  • Champion plant safety by following all safe work practices, including LOTO, hot work, electrical safety, and PPE requirements.

  • Contribute to and improve the preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime.

  • Propose and implement equipment modifications to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Provide leadership in equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Perform project work and other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

    • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial maintenance.

    • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, robotics, and automation systems.

    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

    • Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.

    • Knowledge of safe work practices (LOTO, hot work, PPE, etc.).

    • Welding, plumbing, and shop tool experience.

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
