We are looking for an intern for summer 2026. We are the premiere aircraft fire protection systems manufacturer in the world. In this role you will be working on electronic control systems, smoke detectors and flame detectors for both civilian and military aircraft. This role is onsite, in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do:
- You will evaluate obsolete components of existing designs and recommend product improvements.
- You will design, assist, and execute design validation tests and electromagnetic interference qualification tests.
- You will work on printed circuit board prototype builds.
- You will work on updating schematics.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn how various electronic circuits are applied to our control systems.
- You will learn how smoke detectors work.
- You will learn how current photo-electronic components are used to create flame detectors.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment.
- Possess the ability to follow general and detailed instructions & organizational policies and procedures.
- Possess the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Prefer Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Controls Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering majors.
