Position Summary
Job DescriptionThe Electrical and Electronic Engineering function at Ultra Maritime supports the full hardware development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and verification. This function delivers electronic and electrical components and subassemblies into complex projects and products.
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work on real engineering projects alongside experienced engineers. Work will be tailored to your academic level to ensure you can be successful with appropriate effort while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience. At this level, interns are learning foundational engineering and business concepts and are expected to report to work during normal business hours, complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, and ask questions when guidance is needed.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Support electrical and electronic hardware development activities across the product lifecycle
Assist with requirements analysis, design, implementation, and verification tasks
Participate in system integration, test, and troubleshooting activities
Support documentation of designs, test results, and engineering artifacts
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineering
Required Skills
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Helpful Skills
Experience with or knowledge of RADAR systems or similar signal processing systems
Experience with or knowledge of SONAR systems or similar signal processing systems
Familiarity with Linux-based system integration, testing, and execution environments
Knowledge of or Familiarity With (One or More Preferred)
