We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team to lead electrical design transfer efforts, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in bringing sophisticated medical devices from concept to reality.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the electrical team design transfer to manufacturing and component sustaining activities.
  • Performing electrical design activities including, but not limited to, component selection, circuit design/simulation, prototype evaluation, unit-level testing, lifecycle testing, system integration testing, drawing/document creation and modification, and execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware, firmware, and embedded software components.
  • Coordinating, managing, and tracking project work breakdown, development activities, sustaining backlog, team objectives, and defects via Azure DevOps Server (formerly TFS).
  • Continuously improving quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the use of electrical test equipment and custom test sets.

This position may suit you best if you have the following attributes:

  • Strong electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation required for medical devices and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of engineering and management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high quality results in a timely fashion.
  • Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).
  • Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability.
  • Familiarity with electronic product development in a highly regulated environment.

Requirements for success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies.
  • Proven track record of contribution to multiple products, projects, and processes taken from concept to fruition.
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other Agile development methodology experience a plus.
