Position Summary
Thales is seeking an Electrical Engineer (New Graduate) in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will participate the HW design, development, test and qualification of IFEC head end LRU products to satisfy our customers and meet market demands. You will be responsible to perform a subset of all the hardware-engineering activities required to develop a HW embedded solution/product, and will participate in co-engineering activity with the PCB, Mechanical, SW and System engineering teams. In this capacity you will understand the customer’s needs and through life cycle concerns, whatever means are used (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, etc.), formalizes mission / function description, architectural design and requirements, assembles the solution / product elements in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behavior, interactions and performance, and confirms that the requirements against which the solution / product has been designed are fulfilled, demonstrates that the solution / product satisfies the overall approved operational needs and that the product data package is ready for release to production and to operation and support functions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Participate in the electrical design, development and test activities and qualification of state-of-the-art embedded digital and analog high speed, mixed signal communication circuits.
Ensure that hardware-engineering aspects of projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Provide a technical interface to subcontractors and customers.
Participates in comprehensive electrical design reviews with engineering team and manufacturing partners to confirm that design parameters, cost and manufacturability requirements have been met.
Writes technical specifications, documents to make sure the product meets requirements.
Participates in critical project reviews and reports to management outcome of the issue investigations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
Experience in Electrical embedded hardware design for high-speed digital and analog communications systems.
Experience using schematic capture and layout viewer (ORCAD, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, PCAD, etc.).
Experience using digital test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Emulators, Debuggers, etc.
Basic knowledge of Linux OS and scripting language.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office use: Excel, Project, Outlook, Word, Visio; PowerPoint

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC): 91,380.75 - 121,841.00 - 152,490.00 USD Annual
