Electrical Assembler (On-Site)

About the role:

As an Electrical Assembler, you will perform electrical assembly activities including cable build, panel/enclosure build, soldering and installing components on a full machine. You will read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics and use multi meters to measure voltage/current/resistance, use schematics, and hand tools to route conduit/pull wire/terminate cabling.

You will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor working on-site at the Westinghouse manufacturing facility in Shoreview, MN located 20-minutes from downtown Minneapolis. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings, project materials, production orders

• Assemble electrical panels/enclosures including cable sub-assemblies

• Operate a variety of test and calibration equipment

• Perform soldering and crimping tasks

• Operate shop equipment such as drill press, bandsaw, fiber laser, laser engraver

• Operate overhead cranes.

• Perform safety wiring

• Perform lockout/tagout

• Work order and schedule estimation and planning

• Factory acceptance testing

• Customer interaction

• Lead daily activities when Lead is absent

• Maintaining Westinghouse “Security” and “Fitness for Duty” requirements

Qualifications:

• HS degree or GED equivalent

• 0-5+ years

• Familiar w/ shop equipment like drill press, bandsaw, fiber laser, laser engraver
