Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as a LVN in the  ambulatory care setting, assisting in providing total patient care, maintaining high standards of care and recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of life threatening emergencies. The Licensed Vocational Nurse must be able to follow established University and Departmental work policies, procedures and guidelines.

Please note that the Medicine-Pediatrics Comprehensive and Immediate Care Clinic is open Monday-Sunday, from 8am-9pm during the week and 8am-5pm over the weekend. In this role, you will work rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts including weekends, holidays and evenings, as needed.

* This is a per diem position that may convert into career.


 Salary: $39.40/hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • CA LVN License with IV therapy and blood withdrawal
  • BLS from AHA or ARC
  • Knowledge of basic computer fundamentals
  • Ability to speak clearly and distinctly using appropriate English vocabulary and grammar
  • Ability to understand oral and written directives
  • Ability to read and write Standard English text
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Ability to organize and prioritized work to complete assignments in a timely manner
