Job Description

AZZ has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Engineer Technician based out of our corporate office. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health & Safety you will coordinate and support AZZ’s galvanizing operations by implementing and improving operating processes. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist facilities at various locations in significantly improving operation liability and simultaneously implementing operating processes.
• Prepare operating process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Serve as liaison between operations and executive departments for continuous improvement.
• Provided research and development studies along with supporting customer design and operation concerns.
• Ensures that process activities comply with company policies and government regulations.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Support Environmental and Safety department in reducing process waste and any safety concerns.
• Capable of performing technical tasks contributing to the planning and execution of the projects.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit or previous intern experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication for both internal and external engagement
• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently at times
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Suite applications 
• Must be willing to travel up to 50%; must be able to travel internationally. 

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering, Industrial engineering, Material science, or Metallurgy required.
