Yahoo Sports connects fans to the sports and fantasy games they love most, providing personalized quality content and superior fan experiences every day.

The Manager of Content Operations will be an integral member of the content team and will report directly to the Head of Content. This individual will be responsible for advancing and managing priority content initiatives and acting as a critical liaison within the content group and among key verticals across Yahoo Sports. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with Head of Content to manage priority content initiatives including tentpole content planning, data and reporting, budget management, among others

  • Act as critical liaison between content organization and key verticals throughout Yahoo Sports including Business Development, Revenue and Product to ensure that cross-functional initiatives are advanced with sufficient collaboration. 

  • Align and organize content sub-department priorities including video, audio, social media, design and editorial

  • Lead strategic ad hoc projects spanning a variety of topic areas (e.g., on-camera talent, platform prioritization)  

  • Create sustainable and optimal processes to streamline content workflow, tracking and management 

  • Conduct research and lead planning for strategic content expansion and related initiatives 

  • Assist with partner management of key content partners and vendors (e.g., social media platforms, content management tools, data tools) 

Requirements: 

  • BS/BA degree 

  • 3-5 years experience working in fast-paced, high performance organization

  • Experience working across multiple disciplines including content management and project management 

  • Deep understanding of the sports media landscape

  • Tremendous written and verbal communication ability across a variety of stakeholders

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
