Job Purpose
Priority is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Truck Washer to join our team. The Truck Washer will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet of waste management vehicles is thoroughly cleaned and properly maintained to meet safety and hygiene standards. This position is critical to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the waste management operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning of various trucks, including the interior and exterior of vehicles,
- Use of pressure washers, brushes, and other cleaning tools and chemicals.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in compliance with safety protocols
- Conduct regular inspections of the trucks to identify areas that need additional attention and report any maintenance or damage concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain and care for cleaning equipment
- Properly dispose of any waste or debris collected during the cleaning process.
- Keep accurate logs of cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance performed on trucks.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Follow company policies and local regulations regarding waste management and vehicle cleaning.
Qualifications
The successful candidate profile includes:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience in truck washing, maintenance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work afternoon shift
- Ability to work safely and efficiently, following all safety procedures.
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- The position requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
- Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions and may include exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
