Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We are searching for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Operations Strategy team, who would be based in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will analyze and guide decisions around our commercial growth plans as well as work with downstream teams to drive the optimization of our commercial fleet and resources. This role requires strong analytical skills combined with business acumen.
In this role, you will:
- Model and/or analyze the downstream implications of new commercial load growth opportunities to understand resourcing risks or operating constraints
- Interpret and explain potential impacts and risks to key leadership / cross functional stakeholders on a regular basis and provide recommendations
- Identify opportunities and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to maximize utilization of our commercial fleet and optimize operating costs
- Assess and oversee our commercial pipeline review process, which entails driving alignment and soliciting approvals across cross-functional stakeholders based on resourcing requirements of new commercial growth opportunities
- Oversee our Texas fleet use and help optimize our Dispatch team’s vehicle and operator schedule to successfully execute against quarterly targets
- Analyze, design, and improve our existing supply chain processes and load schedules
- Tightly manage and monitor our commercial growth opportunities against forecasted ramp plans and timelines, and communicate adjustments to key stakeholders accordingly
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses, and share insights or escalate risks accordingly
Required Qualifications:
- BS in a quantitative field (e.g. Economics, Math, Statistics, Finance)
- 3+ years working experience working in a business analytics, finance, consulting, or any quantitative role
- Prior experience working in the transportation industry experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Superior attention to detail and strong business acumen
- Proficient/advanced modeling skills in Excel/Gsheets
- Experience in tracking project progress and driving tasks to completion
- Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment and not afraid to roll up sleeves
- Ownership mentality to drive issues and tasks to completion, with a strong bias for action
- Interest in autonomous vehicles
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the transportation industry experience a plus
- Experience in SQL a plus
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles
The base salary range for this position is $98,000 to $146,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
