Your new responsibilities

Ams OSRAM is seeking a business oriented, dynamic, creative and energetic Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to join our semiconductors team in Exeter, NH. The Sr. HR Business Partner will be a strategic partner to the OPTO Business. As Sr. HR Business Partner, you will build trusted advisor relationships with the executive levels of management across the assigned client group. You will be the point of contact for inquiries of client groups. In addition, you will be HR Compliance Head and Talent Development pillar. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, affirmative action and compliance.

 

Responsibilities as OPTO HRBP:

  • Establish a strong partnership with business leaders
  • Consult in creating organizational and strategic workforce plans necessary to meet current and future business challenges
  • Drive Change Management initiatives
  • Partner with the broader team to identify best practices and ensure consistent delivery of programs across the organization
  • Assists in the development and implementation of HR procedures and programs
  • Handle complex Employee Relation issues
  • Functions as the site generalist in a variety of Human Resources activities as needed. For example, performance management, interviewing, termination processing, exit interviews
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, regulations and legislation
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required
  • Responsibilities for Performance Implementation Programs, Organization Development and HR Compliance Head
  • Drive the annual performance process for the broader organization providing relevant coaching and guidance
  • In charge of Talent Development programs and training for the broader organization in North America: implementation, delivery, coaching
  • In charge of Affirmative Action plans and Compliance
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
     


What we look for


  • Bachelor in Finance, HR or related field; SHRM or NCHRA certification is a plus
  • Min 5 years experience with career progression in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in semiconductor organizations, “High Tech” will be a plus
  • Experience supporting sales
  • Proven ability to partner and communicate with key stakeholders, customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Proven experience building strategic workforce plans while balancing short-term needs
  • Experience leading company-wide HR initiatives
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent consulting and facilitation skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, self-directed and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Resourceful in finding solutions
  • Excellent Excel skills and MS Suite, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of employee benefit plans and leave administration including EEO, FLSA, FMLA and CFRA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, COBRA
  • Ability to travel required
