Financial Accountant -USA

About the Role

The Financial Accountant role requires a strong foundation in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Prepare and review accruals, journal entries, and general ledger activity
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure accuracy across entities 
• Maintain compliance with business licenses, registrations, and renewals
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and policy adherence
• Support month-end close and general accounting tasks
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Manage year‑end 1099 filing process, including:
• Ensuring verification of vendor W‑9 forms
• Reviewing vendor payments for 1099 eligibility
• Preparing 1099 reports and coordinating electronic filing
• Ensuring compliance with IRS deadlines and requirements

Experience and Qualifications

• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably CPA environment
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights
• High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment

 

Please Note: This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Salary Band – Financial Accountant: $65,000 to $75,000 USD – Salary offered will be based on candidates experience level.
