Job Overview
Director of Product - New Audiences is a highly strategic Senior IC role on the product management team at VRChat. This person will lead our efforts to drive user acquisition and early stage retention, and play a pivotal role in building the experiences that will help us reach the next 10 million users.
This role reports into the VP Product at VRChat, and will work closely with a dedicated cross functional team, heads of various functions, with regular interaction with the Exec team and the VRChat Board.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the user acquisition funnel and establish a framework for categorization and prioritization.
• Develop a culture of experimentation and data-first decision making across a wide portfolio of opportunities including close partnership with marketing and business development.
• Partner closely with data, engineering, design and producers to spearhead the vision and strategy for our growth efforts.
• Work with your peers to coordinate some of the most important, largest opportunities for the business.
• Run a smooth and collaborative planning process to generate plans that reflect strategic goals, user insights and past learnings.
• Manage execution to deliver against goals and objectives.
• Represent progress at periodic product reviews, and seek leadership support in a timely manner to unblock execution.
• Partner with production and engineering leaders to ensure our execution is world class.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices for acquisition and retention across social networks, virtual economies, mobile games, and large scale subscription services.
• Support the VP Product in critical strategy, organization and execution areas.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of growth product management in a high-growth consumer tech company.
• 3+ years of experience with experimentation design and execution.
• Experience launching mobile experiences and growing a mobile audience to tens of millions of users.
• University degree or equivalent experience with business, computer science or economics.
• Extensive experience in product intuition and UX design, with a healthy obsession to discover and fulfill the needs of users.
• Expert at defining metrics and making product and strategic decisions based on A/B testing and/or qualitative feedback.
• A history of challenging the status quo and making tough decisions based on data.
• Intellectually curious about new technologies and societal changes, and understands how to apply innovations and trends to product opportunities.
• Proven demonstrable impact, leading $10M+ high impact growth opportunities.
