Timken Belts, located in Springfield, MO, is searching for a Quality Engineer.

The Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with the production teams to maintain a high-quality product.

Essential Job Duties
•    Conduct regular quality assessments on raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
•    Reject products that fail to meet quality expectations and recommend improvements.
•    Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance.
•    Perform measurements and functionality tests using specialized equipment.
•    Document inspection outcomes and maintain detailed records.
•    Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
•    Ensure compliance with ISO and other industry specific quality standards.
•    Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
•    Assist in developing and improving quality control procedures.
•    Certify associates to quality procedures to complete associate training period.
 
Minimum Requirements:  
•    Experience with ISO 9001 or other rubber industry standards.
•    Thorough understanding of manufacturing process with excellent systemic thinking abilities, strong root cause          analysis
•    Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)/Heat Treatment/Welding
•    Statistical Analysis
•    Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
•    Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programming
 
Education and/or Experience
•    High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Five years of experience in a production facility, preferably in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment
•    Familiarity with product testing methods, quality control, and LEAN manufacturing practices
•    Ability to use gauges required for product audit and inspection
•    Good interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical concepts
