Senior Application Designer (.NET Focus)

The Senior Application Designer will design, develop, and maintain complex application software including web, client, and server components, with a focus on .NET technologies. This role involves leading application architecture efforts, mentoring junior developers, ensuring technical quality, and supporting application lifecycles from concept to deployment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with .NET Core, C#, Webforms, SQL databases, and API development in support of enterprise systems-preferably within Medicaid or other healthcare environments.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, standard business hours

PAY RATE: $50/hour - $52/hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Design, develop, install, test, and document applications using .NET Core, ASP Webforms, C#, and related technologies

• Analyze, design, and review application architecture to meet functional and technical requirements

• Maintain system uptime, debug and resolve production issues, and perform system upgrades

• Lead component-level architecture decisions, guide junior developers, and ensure code and documentation quality

• Write detailed program specifications, perform unit testing, and create SSRS reports

• Participate in technical research and feasibility analysis to support strategic planning

• Collaborate in business process sessions and act as a domain expert between business and technical teams

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 6+ years of application development experience with .NET, including C#, .NET Core, ASP Webforms, MVC, WCF, and REST APIs

• Strong database experience with Oracle and SQL Server; knowledge of IIS configurations

• Proficiency in front-end scripting (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) and reporting tools (SSRS)

• Experience with both Windows and Linux OS environments

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills

• Ability to work independently or lead within a team; mentoring experience a plus

• Experience with InRule, Appian, Redis, and Medicaid systems is a strong plus
