ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

The 6th floor at Fitzroy is a fast paced surgical unit specialising in orthopedics, plastics and vascular surgery. We are passionate about providing excellence in health care and achieving exceptional outcomes for our patients. As part of our nursing team you will be pivotal in planning and implementing nursing care to a high standard. ABOUT YOU:

Your skills will include:

  • Well developed clinical and problem-solving skills in the acute care setting
  • Be dedicated to providing outstanding patient care
  • Have demonstrated experience working in an acute hospital surgical unit
  • Hold a current AHPRA registration

You will demonstrate an aptitude for:

  • Delivery of patient centered care that coordinates individualised care from admission and throughout hospitalisation, incorporating discharge planning in the plan of care
  • Facilitating communication between the patient, family, medical, nursing, ancillary, and allied health staff
  • Initiating referrals and utilises available resources for the purpose of comprehensive care to patients and families
