System Development Manager - AVP - Post Trade - IT

Job Summary:

As a System Development Manager, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for application development and support of critical HKEX applications running under IBM mainframe platform, as well as for support of associated development and migration tools. You will have the opportunity to work closely with different technical teams, vendors and business users for development and production support of post-trade systems. Besides, you may be required to lead and participate in development projects for new business initiatives and also in relation to technology obsolescence on behalf of Post-Trade Application Team.

Job Duties:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform business requirement analysis, resource estimation, system design, application development, testing, system rollout and documentation

2. Design and develop applications under IBM mainframe with interface integration with other systems built under other platforms or technologies

3. Conduct quality assurance review on system design and project deliverables

4. Perform impact assessment and enhancement on applications, development tools and migration tools for system component patches and upgrades

5. Collaborate with other IT teams, business users and vendors on testing and support activities during the project development

6. Assist supervisor in managing project risks and implement mitigation measures accordingly

7. Coach and supervise developers

8. Provide production support and resolve production incidents

9. Adhere to organization policies and standards for fulfilment of compliance requirements

10. Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirement:

1. Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines

2. Minimum 10 years’ system development and support experience

3. Solid development experience in z/OS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve Plus, JCL, CA-7 and MQ

4. Proficiency in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

5. Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills

6. Knowledge and experience in Linux platform and Cloud technology is an advantage

7. Possess project management skills and qualifications (e.g. PMP, CSM) is an advantage

8. Experience in financial services industry or regulatory bodies is an added value

9. Self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure

10. Good analytical and problem-solving skills

11. Good command of written English and Cantonese is an added advantage
